Mike Fiorino is President of DRIE-SWO.

Mike is BCM Relationship Manager with the Enterprise BCM Group at TD Bank, based in London, Ontario.

He has held various Project and BCM / DR related positions in the bank since 1989, spending the past 9 years with the TD  Enterprise Business Continuity team where his focus is on providing BC tool training, analytics, guidance and advice to internal TD Bank Business Units on business continuity planning and testing, along with Incident / Crisis Management, Governance and BC Strategies.

Mike is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and has been a member of DRIE-SWO since 2007.

Tom Shebrek is past President of DRIE-SWO.

Tom is currently Enterprise Crisis and Business Continuity division lead at Canadian Tire and has has been in the fields of Emergency & Risk Management, BCP and DR for more than 15 years. He has instructed at York University and Mohawk College. In addition to leading his own company, Advanced Resilience International (ARI), Tom has held senior positions at Walmart, RIM / Blackberry and Sun Life Financial.

Tom co-chairs the Private Sector Partnership Working Group supporting Canada's Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (sanctioned by the United Nations).

Kim Sachau is past President and the current Treasurer of DRIE-SWO.

Kim is Business Continuity Manager at MCAP in Kitchener, Ontario. She holds the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) designation from DRI Canada and the MBCI certification from the Business Continuity Institute. Kim served as President of DRIE-SWO from 2008 to 2015.

Kim Sachau is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, obtained while on the Six Sigma Team at GE Information Technology Solutions (ITS) prior to joining the Disaster Recovery Team as a consultant in 2001. As a consultant, Kim has assisted clients with their BIA’s, plan Development, testing and maintenance etc.

Shanda Chronowich is Secretary of DRIE-SWO.

Shanda is a Senior Manager, Business Continuity at opentext. She has over 20 years experience focused solely on business continuity and emergency management. 

Shanda has worked extensively with various organizations in business continuity, crisis management and emergency management, with public and private sector clients across a variety of industries.

Prior to working at opentext, Shanda worked at MNP,  was the National Practice Lead for Business Resilience at Protiviti, the Director of Business Continuity at Resolve Corporation, Manager at PwC, and Manager of BCP for Fidelity Investments Canada.

Diana Ramirez Murillo is Publicity Director of DRIE-SWO.

Diana is a Manager in the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program at Canada Life. Diana is responsible for contributing to the design and oversight of the enterprise wide (Lifeco) Business Continuity Management Framework. Currently her focus is on leading the Business Continuity Planning Pillar performing oversight functions, developing methodologies and continuous improvement activities to be implemented across the regions.

Diana joined Canada Life in 2016 after 10 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Information Technology in various sectors. Diana is a Systems Engineer, Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) and ISO 22301 Lead Auditor.

Ian Winsor is Session Director of DRIE-SWO.

In his 'day job' Ian is the Senior Information Technology Officer at SNOILAB in Sudbury, ON.

In this role, Ian is the leader of the Information Technology team for Canada's world class underground research lab specializing in neutrino and dark matter physics.  His accountabilities include developing the IT strategies, policies, and priorities of the organization, including planning, designing, developing and implementing the required IT infrastructure to support on-going and future science experiments. He defines the Information Security program, budget, and the training requirements.  He has previously held DR focused positions with a number of employers, as well at various IT management and supervisory roles.

Ian graduated from the DeVry Institute of Technology in 1985, attained his ABCP and became a member of DRIE-SWO in 2007.

Reena Patel is a Publications Director for DRIE-SWO.

Reena is a Senior Consultant with MNP’s Enterprise Risk Services Group with more than five years of Enterprise Risk experience. She is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. 

She has specialized knowledge and experience in the areas of Business Resilience and Internal Audit. Reena has cross-industry expertise that includes working with boards, agencies, ministries, municipalities, schools, financial institutions, energy sector firms, private companies and first nations communities.

James Loyer (Jim) is a Publications Director for DRIE-SWO.

Jim is retired, having last served as Manager, Business Continuity for Spectra Energy Limited (now Enbridge Inc.)  

He holds MBA and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degrees from the University of Windsor, a CBCP from DRI Canada, a three year business diploma from St. Clair College & a Masters Certificate in IT Project Management from George Washington University.

Jim is also past Board Chair, YMCAs Across Southwestern Ontario, past associate professor/instructor at the University of Windsor & St. Clair College, past Race Director for Triathlon Ontario and past President, the Association for Systems Management, Chatham chapter.  Jim is a certified Master Official for Swim Ontario / Swimming Canada.
