Are you one of the following: a Business Continuity Planner? Emergency Manager? Crisis Management Program Coordinator? Records Officer? IT DR or Security Specialist or someone who works in a related "preparedness" field? Do you live, work or travel within South Western Ontario? Then, I feel you would benefit from joining our Disaster Recovery Information Exchange – South Western Ontario (DRIE-SWO) chapter and gaining access to the many benefits this membership provides.
DRIE organizations are member-based, not-for-profit associations of practitioners and others involved or interested in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, contingency planning and related preparedness fields. There are DRIE chapters all across Canada and in Australia.
DRIE chapters exist to promote professionalism in these disciplines and to facilitate member-to-member exchange of ideas and information. At DRIE-SWO, we hold a full day symposium twice a year, usually in May and October. These events feature presentations by industry experts on contemporary topics in the preparedness field, opportunities for networking and access to vendors and services providers.
Our chapter is guided by a volunteer executive, has a voting membership and provides members with various services (see the "About Us" tab on this site). I hope to see you at our next symposium.
